DMT (Diamond Machining Technology) WM8EF-WB Review: DMT WM8EF-WB 8-Inch DuoSharp Plus Bench Stone-Extra Fine/Fine With Base. I've sharpened about 20 knives using the DMT stones. The real advantage of using these over Arkansas stones or Japanese water stones is the speed at which DMT stones sharpen. They are incredibly fast. That said, this is also the biggest danger of using DMT stones. You are removing material at a rapid rate, so make sure you know what you're doing before using these stones.
