Minka Aire F582-BNW Review: Minka-Aire Fans F582-BNW 54" Rainman Tropical WET Outdoor Nickel Ceiling Fan w/ Light & Wall Ctrl. This fan looks good, and at nearly $400, described as 'Nickel', it ought to be good quality. It's not. Little more than 12 months after fitting to outdoor lanai, with no direct rain, the surface plating is rusting off. Anyone who needs convincing can see our photos.What this product is, is cheap base metal with some kind of 'Nickel' (? maybe?) coating, which last a few months before lifting, to rust underneath.I have an option to return it at our full cost - it took 4 hours to install, and ...
